How it works, guide & comments
How It Works

Enter your seed. Every end city appears on the real End terrain, ship cities with a ship icon, and the panel lists the nearest ones with distance, direction and exact coordinates.

Turn off "No ship" to hunt for elytra, and click any city for its coordinates. The End Seed Map has the same map with the dimension switch.

Java and Bedrock

Both editions work, but they are not the same: one seed gives a different End on Bedrock (other islands, other end city spots). Pick your edition first.

Bedrock end cities, ships, the return gateway order and the outer gateways all come from digging through the Bedrock game itself. The one thing missing is where each gateway drops you on Bedrock; that is Java only for now.

Accuracy

Java positions are built on cubiomes, a re-implementation of Minecraft's world generator, and I checked them against worlds made by real Java and Bedrock servers. If you find one that's off, tell me in the comments with your seed and coordinates and I'll look into it.

Reference: End City Finder

End cities are the reason to go back to the End after the dragon: shulker shells for shulker boxes, strong enchanted gear, and on the cities with a ship, the elytra.

What end cities hold

Purpur towers linked by bridges, guarded by shulkers that make you float. Chests hold enchanted diamond and iron gear, diamonds, emeralds and saddles. Shulkers drop shulker shells, the only way to craft shulker boxes.

The end ship and the elytra

When an end city has a ship, it floats next to one of the towers. Inside: the elytra in an item frame, a dragon head on the bow and two treasure chests. The elytra is the only way to glide, and firework rockets turn it into flight.

Reaching the cities

Kill the Ender Dragon to open an end gateway near the main island, pearl through it to the outer islands, then bridge or pearl between islands. The nearest list works from the center of the map, so pan to where your gateway put you.

How do I find an end city?

Enter your seed and every end city appears on a map of the End with exact coordinates; the nearest ones to the center of the map are listed with distance and direction. End cities are on the outer islands, past about 1,000 blocks from the center.

How do I find an end city with an elytra?

Only end cities with an end ship have an elytra. Turn off "No ship" in the End cities filter and the map and list show just the ship cities. The elytra hangs in an item frame at the back of the ship.

How common are end ships?

Only some end cities get a ship, so it often takes checking a few. With the seed you can skip the ones without and go straight to a ship.

Does the end city finder work on Bedrock?

Yes. Bedrock's End differs from Java's, and the finder shows the Bedrock cities, and which of them have an end ship, when Bedrock is selected. Both work on Bedrock.
