How It Works

Put in your seed and you get the real End: the main island, the void ring and the outer islands, with every end city marked. Cities with a ship (the elytra) get a ship icon.

The 20 return gateways around the main island are numbered in the order they open, with markers for where each one drops you. Pick what shows up in the Layers panel, and the nearest cities are listed in the side panel.

Java and Bedrock

Both editions work, but they are not the same: one seed gives a different End on Bedrock (other islands, other end city spots). Pick your edition first.

Bedrock end cities, ships, the return gateway order and the outer gateways all come from digging through the Bedrock game itself. The one thing missing is where each gateway drops you on Bedrock; that is Java only for now.

Accuracy

Java positions are built on cubiomes, a re-implementation of Minecraft's world generator, and I checked them against worlds made by real Java and Bedrock servers. If you find one that's off, tell me in the comments with your seed and coordinates and I'll look into it.

Reference: End Seed Map

The End is the last dimension in Minecraft: a main island where the Ender Dragon lives, a void ring, and an endless field of outer islands holding end cities, shulkers and the elytra.

The End's layout

The main island sits at the center, around 0, 0. A ring of empty void surrounds it out to about 1,000 blocks; past that the outer islands start and continue forever. End biomes are the main island, highlands (the big raised islands, where end cities appear), midlands, barrens and small end islands.

End cities and ships

End cities are tall purpur towers full of shulkers and loot chests with enchanted diamond and iron gear. Some come with an end ship floating beside them, which holds the elytra, a dragon head and two more chests.

Getting around

After the dragon fight, each kill spawns another end gateway. Pearl into one to reach the outer islands. From there, bridge or pearl between islands. Elytra plus firework rockets make exploring the outer End far faster.

End gateways

The 20 return gateways sit in a ring 96 blocks from the center of the main island. Which one opens after each dragon kill is decided by the seed, and the map numbers them in that order. A gateway sends you about 1,000 blocks out in its own direction, to the first island it finds; the exit markers show roughly where you land (the game picks the exact block when you first go through). Out on the islands, small end gateways also appear in the highlands, and each one links back toward the main island.

What does the End seed map show?

The End's real terrain for your seed: the main island in the middle, the empty void around it and the outer islands beyond about 1,000 blocks, with every end city marked and the cities that have an end ship shown with a ship icon.

How do I get to the outer End islands?

Kill the Ender Dragon; an end gateway portal appears near the edge of the main island. Throw an ender pearl into it and you are teleported to the outer islands, around 1,000 blocks out, where the end cities are.

Which end cities have an elytra?

Only the cities with an end ship. The ship holds the elytra in an item frame, plus a dragon head and two chests. Use the filter to show only cities with a ship.

Which end gateway opens first?

Each Ender Dragon kill opens one of 20 return gateways in a ring around the main island, in an order fixed by the seed. The map numbers them 1 to 20 in that order and marks roughly where each one drops you on the outer islands.

Does this work for Bedrock?

Yes. Bedrock's End is different from Java's for the same seed, and the map shows the Bedrock islands and end cities when Bedrock is selected. Ships, the return gateway order and the outer gateways are shown for Bedrock too; gateway exits are Java only for now.
